Project Summary
Historical drilling delineated a gold resource on a 300-meter-long northeast-trending structure connecting multiple historical mines. The 15-claim project holds “high potential” for intrusion-related silver-gold polymetallic vein deposits and saw past production of high-grade silver, lead, and zinc. Modern exploration confirmed significant mineralization. Owner financing offered.
The Enright Hill project is located within the Humboldt National Forest in Elko County, Nevada, approximately 10 miles northeast of Mountain City.
Geology
The project targets multiple quartz veins and sheared structures within an extensive 300-meter-long northeast-trending fault system. Veins are associated with altered porphyry dikes emplaced into metamorphosed siltstone and shale of the Chainman Formation. The structure lies 1.5 kilometers east of the Enright Hill pluton, exhibiting a well-developed trend of advanced argillic alteration.
Metals contained within the veins include silver, gold, lead, zinc, and copper. Mineralization occurs within quartz veins cutting metamorphosed sedimentary and altered intrusive rocks. The setting demonstrates high (H) potential for intrusion-related silver-gold polymetallic deposits.
In addition to the main Enright Hill deposit, the property encompasses historically productive workings like the Never Sweat mine and Bieroth adit along the same structure. These targets offer a continuous zone of mineralization that expands resource potential significantly.
Exploration and History
Initially developed through adits, stopes, and trenches, early activity focused on high-grade polymetallic veins. Active mining from 1950 to 1952 produced a rich quantity of lead-zinc-silver ore. Recorded historical production yielded 200 tons of ore containing 2,943 ounces of silver, 12,700 pounds of lead, 4,900 pounds of zinc, 12 ounces of gold, and 16 pounds of copper. Activity waned until the 1970s.
During the 1970s and 1980s, the property was actively explored by modern companies seeking precious metals. Extensive exploration focused heavily on the interconnected Enright Hill, Never Sweat, and Bieroth workings along the primary structural trend.
Exploration culminated in 1989 when a drilling program successfully intersected mineralized veins at depth, officially delineating a historical gold resource at the Enright Hill deposit. These efforts significantly advanced the understanding of the property's mineral potential and set the stage for future development.
